New Broughton Village

New Broughton Village is a vibrant new community, which covers an impressive 180 acres of land on the eastern side of Salford.

Countryside Properties, Salford City Council, Great Places Housing Association and the local community have come together to create a thriving, bustling neighbourhood that includes new residential houses and apartments, as well as a mix of affordable homes. All of this is set in green open space with shops, businesses and community facilities.

All homes at New Broughton Village are finished to the highest standards, with a ‘Very Good’ EcoHomes rating resulting in a reduced environmental impact and improved energy efficiency. The development has been designed to offer a feeling of security and space with access through electronic gates leading onto central courtyards and landscaped communal grounds. The result is a place that people are proud to call their home.

Regeneration*

The £500m regeneration of Lower Broughton is one of the largest and most challenging major regeneration projects in the UK. New Broughton Village proposes to create a sustainable new community of over 3,500 homes of all shapes and sizes, with something to suit everyone; from young professionals looking for a vibrant urban vibe to families seeking a more relaxed environment. A full range of community facilities and services including shops, leisure, employment, education and training will be created. The aim of the scheme is to demonstrate best practice in urban regeneration.

The local community is at the heart of the planning and redevelopment of the area and Countryside Properties and Salford City Council have already undertaken an intensive consultation programme together with local residents and other stakeholders. A Community Steering Group has been established to continually inform and ultimately manage the regenerated area.
